Course Description

Employee Discipline is a tool that managers rely on to communicate to employees that they need to change a behavior ( Habitual lateness, ignoring safety procedures, neglecting details required for the job, rudeness to customers, unprofessional conduct etc.

Discipline means a prescribed conduct or pattern of behavior. Employee Discipline at workplace can be defined as adherence to the company policies, rules, regulations and processes laid down by the management.

About Instructor

Yinka Siyanbola

Yinka Siyanbola is a versatile and result driven HR professional with over 17 years hands on practice spanning the Banking, Manufacturing, Telecoms and Management Consulting industries. He started his HR career in Wema Bank Plc as an Employee Relations Officer after which he worked in and headed other units (Manpower Planning, Industrial Relations, and Performance Management) until his appointment as the Ag. Head Human Resource Department of the Bank in 2006. He was part of the pioneer management staff recruited by Price Water Coopers to handle the Josepdam Sugar Company Project in 2011 when he was appointed as the Head, HR & Admin. Having spent about 4 years he moved to the Telecom Industry where he was appointed to the Assistant General Manager position as the Head, Human Capital of VDT Communications Limited, a leading Broadband Service Provider within the Telecoms Subsector in Nigeria. He resigned his appointment in September 2018 to start the IPWC Consulting Ltd where he is a Managing Partner. He is also developing interest in the Agric Business Entrepreneurship. Yinka Siyanbola holds his first Degree in Economics and a Masters Degree in Strategic Management from the University of Lagos. He is a professional member of the Chartered Institution of Personnel Management, a Senior Professional in Human Resource (USA), SHRM and holds an ITIL Certification (U.K) and has attended management trainings both local and international. Besides his versatility in core HR Operations, he facilitates regularly on other self development and management skills, Performance Management, Leadership and Strategy.
